In this session, Van den Poel traces the origins of one of the first Master of Science
programs in in Marketing Analysis in the world at Ghent University, Belgium.
With a clear focus on predictive analytics, the program emphasizes solving
marketing/business problems by using analytical methods with a strong emphasis on data handling (databases, SAS, R, now: big data). He also details the cooperation with
industry (50+ completed projects) for a very diverse set of companies.
