In this session, Bartashnik outlines MSK's journey in establishing an analytics core and highlights some of the initiatives that have made an impact on the institution and helped it win the 2012 INFORMS Prize for effective integration of advanced analytics in an organization. Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) is the oldest and one of the largest cancer hospitals in the world. They established the department of Strategic Planning and Innovation (STPI) based on the idea that better patient care means finding financially sustainable, patient-centered solutions.
