BALTIMORE, MD, October 17, 2023 – INFORMS, the largest association for decision and data sciences, announced Tinglong Dai has been named the vice president of Marketing, Communication & Outreach at INFORMS.
A renowned expert with significant expertise in artificial intelligence, healthcare and global supply chains, Dai is a professor of operations management and business analytics at Johns Hopkins University’s Carey Business School. He co-chairs the Johns Hopkins Workgroup on AI and Healthcare and is on the leadership team of the university-wide Hopkins Business of Health Initiative.
His current research focuses on incorporating AI into clinical workflows and advancing healthcare productivity, access and equity. He has won numerous research and service awards and was named The World’s Best 40 Under 40 Business School Professors by Poets and Quants and has served as an associate editor for two leading INFORMS Journals, Management Science and Manufacturing & Service Operations Management. As an active member of INFORMS’ outreach and advocacy efforts since its inception, he has been frequently quoted in national and international media.
