This conference will bring together experts in the fields of mathematics, computer science, statistics, operations research, graphics, physics, engineering, and finance to discuss the latest developments in Monte Carlo and quasi-Monte Carlo methods and their applications.
The scientific program of the conference is arranged by a committee consisting of I. Dimov (Bulgaria), H. Faure (France), P. Glasserman (USA), S. Heinrich (Germany, co-chair), F.J. Hickernell (USA), A. Keller (Germany, co-chair), P. L'Ecuyer (Canada), M. Mascagni (USA), P. Mathe (Germany), H. Niederreiter (Singapore, co-chair), E. Novak (Germany), A. Owen (USA), K. Ritter (Germany), I.H. Sloan (Australia), D. Talay (France), and H. Wozniakowski (USA/Poland). The program will consist of invited plenary talks, several special thematic sessions, and contributed talks.
The following invited speakers are confirmed: R. Cools (Belgium), S.M. Ermakov (Russia), A. Genz (USA), M. Jordan (USA), F. Kuo (Australia), T. Mueller-Gronbach (Germany), H. Niederreiter (Singapore), G. Pages (France), and K. Sabelfeld (Germany/Russia).

Abstracts of contributed talks and proposals for special sessions comprising 3 or 4 talks should be submitted to Prof.Dr. Alexander Keller by FEBRUARY 24, 2006. The abstract should fit on one page and include the title of the talk, the name, affiliation, full postal address, and e-mail address of the speaker, and a summary of the talk which provides sufficient information to assess the relevance and novelty of the results.
The preferred mode is electronic submission in PDF format. Instructions for authors are provided at the above URL, where also LaTeX-example files can be downloaded. Proposals for special sessions should contain a short description of the theme and scope of the session, together with the abstracts of the included talks. Notification of the acceptance of the talks and special sessions will be given about one month after the above deadline.
